A

What the AGPL-3.0 means

You can use, study, change and share pfx freely. If you ship a game or app built on pfx, or host it as a service people use over the Internet or any other network, you publish that work's full source under the AGPL-3.0 too.

It is free for open-source projects, learning, hobby work and anything you publish under the AGPL.

B

Closed use

A closed-source product or service built on pfx:

  • a game you sell without publishing its source;
  • a closed app;
  • a hosted service with private code.

It takes the free licence under $200k of yearly revenue plus funding, in education or as a non-profit, and Indie or Pro above that.

Up to 3.1.1

Releases up to 3.1.1 stay MIT: code taken from those releases keeps its MIT terms. The AGPL-3.0 and the licences above cover pfx from 3.1.2 on.

Questions about a licence go to pito@hey.com. This page sums the AGPL-3.0 up; the licence text in the repository is what binds: github.com/gmrdad82/pfx/blob/main/LICENSE. The PITO MD name, the pfx name and its logo are © Catalin Ilinca, all rights reserved.
