Built for agents

The command line first, the editor for placing and tuning by hand

pfx new scaffolds a game an agent can work in from its first minute: the project, its content, and an AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md beside the code. People edit a .pitofx in the editor's inspector or its TOML editor; scripts and agents edit it through the CLI verbs (set and get by dotted key, key, add, remove and the rest), which write the edit and a fresh build back into the .pitofx in one atomic replace. pfx-file.md

After pfx git setup (once per clone), git diff on a .pitofx prints the agent's edit as TOML instead of Binary files differ: the lines it changed. git.md

An agent writes a .pitofx recipe

Claude, Codex, Grok or any coding agent edits the recipe through the CLI verbs, by dotted key; each edit writes the change and a fresh build back into the .pitofx in one atomic replace.

    pfx builds and renders

pfx build runs on the CPU with no clock and no randomness beyond the recipe's seed, so the same recipe gives the same bytes on any machine. The live renderer draws the scene; the path tracer and its denoiser render the stills and clips.

    A path-traced film

pfx film cuts the clips, frame folders and cards into one film, with dissolves, pushes and whips and a true-peak ceiling on the master. The same script, seed and app give the same frames, byte for byte.
