Never lose a take
Every take is written to disk as it happens, chunk by chunk, each one checked: a clean stop loses nothing, and while the disk keeps up a crash costs about the last quarter second and a power cut at most about the last half second.

Loudness while you record
See how loud you are while you talk: momentary, short-term and integrated LUFS and true peak, live, against β14 LUFS and β1 dBTP.

The camera, as you see it
Mirror, flip or turn the camera picture: exports bake it into the pixels, so the take plays upright in Firefox, Windows Media Player and DaVinci Resolve.
More on Camera

How each was measured Every feature
Whisper runs on your machine, so your recordings and their transcripts stay there.
Free to try: the first 30 days have everything. After that, each export stops at 5 minutes, sound included, and a video export carries a small Manfred mark. Pro lifts both for $19.99 once, on two devices. Pricing
Manfred's captures run its built-in demo, with no real recording, camera or microphone. The face in the camera picture is a contour drawing made for Manfred by hand, not a real person. The medallion carries the Manfred mark, Β© Catalin Ilinca, all rights reserved. The pond garden uses Poly Haven assets under CC0 1.0. The voice that moves the pond, the meters and the face is the opening of βA Message of Resilience from the International Space Stationβ by NASA Johnson, in the public domain; the captures carry no sound.
