Mail falls like bullets

You are the cursor: fire to read it, let the good mail through and split the rest into lanes.

What it does

Inbox0 is a bullet-hell roguelite drawn as a mail client. Mail pours down the inbox, and you fly the cursor with the mouse and hold the button to fire and mark it read.

Filter rules split the inbox into lanes, so you know where to fire and where to hold. Junk has to die before it reaches the bottom, and your coworkers' good mail has to get there.

Between shifts you pick rules, most of them with a catch, Payday opens a shop at the end of every week, and every Friday a boss arrives with a deadline.

  • Lanes you choose

Filters split your inbox into lanes, so the board tells you where to fire and where to let mail through.

  • Only your own shots delete

Your pointer's shots can delete good mail; the side cursors' shots pass through it.

  • The Archive burst

The right mouse button fires the Archive burst, with a charge ring by your cursor.

  • Same seed, same shift

A shift is a pure function of its seed, the tuning and your moves, bit for bit.

How to use it

  1. Fly the cursor with the mouse and hold the button to fire; Esc pauses.

  2. When a Rules update is dealt, pick a card with its number key.

Between the shifts

  • Most rules carry a catch

Rule cards are dealt like a hand: a gain, and most with its catch in red.

  • Payday

Payday opens a shop at the end of every week: kudos buy rules, upgrades and counters before Monday.

  • Your career

Career stats follow you from run to run, with achievements in six categories.
